Yoga On Center offers a wide variety of class levels and styles.
Most of our instructors offer their own unique blend of styles based on
their training, skills, and passion. Please be sure to visit
our INSTRUCTOR page for more specific
information on each of our teachers.
While it is difficult to "rate" our
classes and place them in a neat matrix by level, you might use the following
as a guide in selecting the appropriate class.
GENTLE Our gentle classes are well suited for beginners or students who wish to focus on gentle stretching and relaxing. Teaching styles may vary by instructor, but we suggest that you start with these classes if you are new to yoga or care for a more gentle pace.
MODERATE
Many of our classes mix levels and intensities. All lunchtime
yoga classes are mixed level and one-hour long. Teaching styles
may vary and you should try as many teachers as possible to
find your best fit. Moderate classes may include sun salutations
to warm the body, deep stretching, standing poses for balance
and possible inversions or backbends. As always, working at
your own pace is key.
INTENSE
Some of our classes flow at a higher pace and level of intensity.
In these classes you will be most challenged as we move from
pose to pose more quickly or hold poses for a longer time.
Intense classes are likely to include many sun salutations
as well as inversions and backbends.
MIXED-LEVEL
Many of our classes are suitable to all levels. Instructors will
offer variations on all poses. As in any class, you are encouraged
to work at your own pace, taking breaks as often as needed.
